Rohnert Park Veterinary Clinic is urgently hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician!

- Maintain proper paperwork and medical records as required by law.
- Comfortable using multiple digital platforms (i.e: Windows, AVImark, Gmail, and Google Drive).
- Efficiently execute all steps of Rohnert Park Veterinary Clinic's standard operating procedures.
Clinical Expectations Include:
- Physical examinations and patient assessment.
- Anesthesia monitoring.
- Surgical preparation and assisting.
- Dentistry.
- Venipuncture.
- Catheter placement.
- Pharmacy.
- Patient recovery.
- Provide humane care and treatment to every patient.
- Perform diagnostic procedures (i.e: various lab work including the use of a microscope, and radiology).
- Accurately calculate, draw, and prepare medications upon DVM request.
- Monitor, and maintain animals under anesthesia.
- Assist with all aspects of surgeries (i.e: patient preparation and recovery, procedure preparation, and sterilization).
- Initiation of emergency medical practices as necessary.
- Ensure that each animal receives the proper vaccinations.
- Maintain department equipment in good working order. Report items for repair/replacement as needed to management in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Registered Veterinary Technician License is required.
- Experience with AVImark Software and IDEXX equipment is highly preferred.
- Willing to train the right individual that is eager to learn.

- Compensation is based on experience $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.
- 8 hour shifts, 5 days per week, Flexible schedule Monday - Saturday.
